19th Century Spode Blue & White Castle Pattern Rectangular Plate or Small Platter
Lovely 19th Century Spode blue and white transferware rectangular plate with scalloped edge in the ‘Castle Gateway’ pattern.
The underside is impressed with the Spode name and the number 1 as well as a blue ‘A’.
In generally good condition with a few age-related marks as you would expect for something of this age. There is a small hairline crack to the underside of the rim (approximately 1 cm) but this is not visible when being used (see last photo). The plate came from a private collection from a Suffolk house.
