Absolutely beautiful set of 5 leather-bound books with marble effect boards. Chapman & Hall of 193 Piccadilly, London were the publisher’s for Charles Dickens’ work extensively during the mid 19th Century. The bookplates (or ex-libris) show ownership to be a Nora Keen Browne. Each book has one of theses bookplates pasted inside the cover.  The books are illustrated by F Barnard - a well-known English illustrator.

Condition: Some foxing and discolouration to the pages as expected but in good general condition. 
Size: Each book is 25.5 cm high and 19 cm wide. The depth’s of the books vary from the thinnest at 3 cm to the deepest at 4.4 cm.
