An exceptional piece of late 19th century Victorian aesthetic movement art pottery, manufactured by the renowned Bohemian firm Majolikafabrik Gerbing & Stephan.

This striking vase features a highly tactile, relief-moulded marine motif. Stylised dark indigo-blue sea fan corals and crisp white sea-foam scroll borders sweep across the body, set against a stippled, sand-textured buff background.  Detailed with small scattered seashells in soft pastel tones of pink, gren and lilac.  It is finished with two sculptural deep-blue handles and a rich orange-glazed interior.

A magnificent display piece for collectors of 19th century majolica, coastal interiors or bohemian ceramics.
