Vintage 1960’s T G Green & Co Ltd Cane Design Extra Large Mixing Bowl Kneading Bowl

£65.00
| /

This kitchen classic has the traditional pale putty colour and cane design with cream coloured glaze inside. The cane design is to make gripping the bowl easier. Bear with me but I think the colours resemble a custard cream!

The bowl is marked on the base with “Gresley Ware, T G Green & Co Ltd, Made in England”, together with the church stamp and the registration number 744299. It also has the number four embossed on the base which refers to the batch number. The batch number indicates how many would fit in a kiln at any one time.

Origin: English
Era: Mid 20th Century
Material: Ceramic
Size:  Height 30.5 cm / Diameter 37.5 cm (widest part by handles), 35.5 cm rest of bowl.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks. It does have some faint crazing and marks inside (including the usual 3 firing marks) but considering it’s approximately 60 plus year’s old it’s in fabulous shape.

These traditional mixing bowls are a ‘must have’ for any kitchen, old or new, and they’re perfect for making bread, pastry or cakes as they keep nice and cool.
